Hello all, hope everything is going as you would wish. Bits and pieces have been produced but nothing coherent. It's tricky when you try lots of things but nothing quite clicks. All these little tunes will be revisited over the coming weeks and no doubt something will materialise.
The image above is something knocked up on Bitwig Grid this morning. God bless annual leave when everyone's out. It's a patch that takes the input note and then spits out the note as a sine wave with a varying mix of the harmonic series related to that pitch. Had to revise the harmonic series over breakfast. Makes a nice little textured bass sound if used in the 2nd octave and an arpeggiator sends the input. You'll hear it soon enough. Bitwig is just a ton of fun :-)
The hardware is currently all hidden away as much work is being done on the house. This has meant that the Black Friday sales have taken centre stage as I'm locked into software for a while. Notable purchases include XLN' XO which makes picking a drum sample sooo much easier, Izotope's Ozone 11 upgrade (have to say it's the presets then a bit of tweaking, but it seems to help), Synthmaster 3 upgrade (bought out of loyalty from the iOS days, always struggled with the interface, found other synths more welcoming but it does seem good), Cthulu (old but good, not on sale), Vaporizer 2 (donation but is a deep wavetable synth) and UJAM's Vice which was a Plugin Boutique freebie but looks interesting. Let's see what happens with them eh? Don't tell anyone about this ok?
Hope the Christmas planning is going well. Remember the .e. playlist is a much better backdrop than a load of old carols and Mariah Carey ok?
