Hello friends

Well now that the global smash hit mini-album Explore Your Alternatives has taken the world by storm, thoughts turn to what is next.  The nice thing about there being no expectation is that you can go into whatever style you fancy.  And at the moment it looks like a bit more ambient stuff, so hopefully that meets with a degree approval.  There are 3 tracks ‘in development’, and a snippet of one of them is behind the link below.  There has been a bit of an influx of hardware and software at .e. Central and so there is a degree of experimentation going on.  This includes (for those who may be interested…):

Moog Labyrinth - finally, a Moog! Pride and joy, and weird noises.

Korg NTS-1 mk2 - little box of tricks, mainly sits as an effects box for the hardware.

Behringer Pro Vs Mini - interesting one.  Needs more exploration.  Some have a lot to say about this company, but it's fair to say .e. wouldn't be what it is if it weren't for them.

Sugar Bytes Obscurium and Unique - absolutely love this company. These plugs have been out for years but they are still huge and inspirational.  They are both suffering due to the overload of options at present, but they will get their chance.

D16 Tekturon - another delay plug-in to add to a bloated collection, but seems to offer some interesting options.

And Cherry Audio's Voltage Modular has been dusted off, this time with a view to using it as an FX until.  Between that and Bitwig's Grid there should be plenty of head-scratching going on…

Below is a link as mentioned above.  Keys are all from modular; Brains as the oscillator.  The pads are made up in Arturia's Pigments.  The stabs late on are NI's Massive X.  These latter two are kind of go-to synths here.  They get a lot of use but there is still so much to learn.

Feel free to feed back.

.e.  x
